The overall goal of my work is to engage the surrounding community with art in an approachable and accessible way. As the public is starting to experience the sobering reality of coronavirus, I wanted this poster to evoke a feeling of hope, positivity, and encouragement despite what may feel like dark times. Through the playful use of color, hand-drawn lettering, and universally understood visual cues/icons, this poster is able to transcend beyond the original written message — working to uplift and encourage the entire community to stay positive and support one another moving forward.
