This is one part of a larger piece that I have put together for a native lead non profit focused on providing services and advocacy to Missing And Murdered Indigenous Women. It is a table that has different pieces of medicine and land all encased in resin into carvings of stars. This collection connects many peoples, lands, and ways of life into one cohesive, beautiful, and breathtaking piece. This particular piece is a braid of sweet grass, cedar, and sage with ribbon braided into the sweetgrass. The braid came from white earth Minnesota. The colors represent all nations and directions, the sky and the earth. This is a prayer and represents not only me, but all Relatives from all walks of life.
