Barrier
Touch is an essential human need – the tingle of oxytocin a powerful drug whether it comes from the reassurance of mother’s hand on your cheek or the stirring from a lover’s kiss. In our isolation, we are starved of contact and connection. The stark barriers of our new reality are at turns debilitating and disorienting. Caretakers, especially medical personnel and essential employees on the frontlines, are faced with the extra challenge of balancing the physical demands of parenthood and the critical necessity of protecting their loved ones from exposure.
