This is a self-portrait . It uses many pastel colors that represent purity and innocence in us while the background contrasts with a striking red with sharp trees to represent anger and frustration. There is hole punched in the face to symbolize the hatred we show to ourselves. Often times teenagers can degrade themselves more than anyone with anxiety and sadness. We tear ourselves up internally. We are broken.
