This is an analog collage piece within a larger series which started as a humorous coping response to the Coronavirus pandemic. I conceptualized the series as a mash-up of 1940s wartime PSA posters and 21st century meme culture, this piece leaning more towards the PSA end of the spectrum. I aimed to first find vintage images that could fit with current conditions and then to recast them with found and original text that spoke to these conditions. This artwork references one of the top Covid-19 recommendations: handwashing.
