I was inspired to create this work after reading The Independent article about Christianne Calderon, a nurse practitioner in the intensive care unit at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She is also a mother and has treated coronavirus patients. From the article she stated-"I wrote warrior on there because we are facing a war,” ... “We are fighting an unknown, invisible and unpredictable enemy. Everybody is in fight mode. All of the doctors, nurses, everybody.” And yet she shows up, I feel that in itself is heroism.
