Across Africa, women practice the art of house painting. They mix different colors of mud and minerals to make pigments they then apply on the exterior and interior walls of their homes. Think of the whole house as a painting. The paintings are often geometric shapes in bright colors potent in lifting the mood. Sometimes they dipict history, great and unforgettable events from the family to the (global) village. I'm inspired by the link between creativity, mental well-being and home.
