As the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers increases in the United States and abroad, there has been little progress in constructing a transparent and equitable system, based on mutual aid, where locations with the highest need for equipment receive that equipment in order of situational severity. It is the responsibility of organizations and individuals to advocate for the equitable distribution of personal protective equipment and demand justice for all healthcare workers.
