As a Chinese American I have often struggled with finding out who I am. Trying to find ways to celebrate my culture when no one else did. I am also an adoptee. During the pandemic I was able to rediscover my chinese background. I began to learn mandarin and try to watch shows without using the subtitles. I was able to form an Asian Pacific Islander Student Association with my friends and we were able to celebrate our different cultures. I was able to rediscover my culture and myself.
