Reconnecting with the feeling of despair and hopelessness that one feels trapped underwater. I connected to this photo where the subject’s expression is contempt and hints of despair. Reconnecting this photo to my personal experiences I add a layer of emotional value that I believe anyone viewing this photo can experience. On a superficial level I focused on the lighting and making the subject appear to be in the spotlight and sinking into a blue abyss.
