Black folks throughout the United States are contracting and dying from Coronavirus at a disproportionate rate, yet our faces and our stories make up so little of the circulating artwork in response to the crisis. This piece is dedicated to all the Black folks who are battling both the pandemic and the historical oppression that makes such catastrophic losses possible, including the predatory “healthcare” system. This piece is also dedicated to my parents, both essential workers.
