Nurses, doctors, healthcare workers, and so many other “essential” employees are risking their lives daily to keep people alive and safe. They risk their lives without proper protective gear everyday, oftentimes due to shortages or because the cost of PPE is too great for employers to cover. The lives of Essential Workers are not valued equally to the profits and other societal benefits they provide. Employers need to value Workers as Essential and not Expendable and put people before profit.
