This piece is dedicated to the those who’d been feeding us so we don’t go hungry as we stay home. Essential workers in the front line- but excluded from any protection in health and economy. These farmers and food workers are mostly undocumented immigrants who are scared to work and scared not to work- essential but disposable.They can’t access government relief- there will be no bailout for these frontline workers who have been tirelessly working everyday so that we have food we eat. As they continue to fight for safer conditions, sick leave, hazard pay and health care. They are still growing, harvesting and delivering our food everyday.
