Faceless Hero is a work that draws attention to the heroic sacrifice that nurses make without celebration . The nurse is faceless because often society doesn't recognize these everyday heroes. Features of the work include the cardiogram with 3 areas dripping farther than they should to symbolize the blood and effort that nurses give when saving the lives of others. I have added half tones and classic 'pop art' explosions to draw upon the idea that nurses should be seen as modern day heroes.The caduceus symbol is prominently featured, as well as a layered background composed of vintage medical text book pages. The painting was created by using spray paint and acrylic paint.
