Growing up in two different countries has not only influenced my culture and the fusion it undergoes but also allowed me to see the world from different perspectives. My mother, for example, has always strived to work hard and persist even during hardships. Her determination has pushed me to pursue my passions. The black and white contrast to the photo, reflects the high and low moments in an immigrant's life and reminds them to reconnect with past history, their purpose for migration and the hope found in new opportunities.This photo was taken on a Nikon W150 point and shoot.
