From thinking we were safer in India to finding ourselves in a complete lockdown and panicking like the rest of the world, the transition was swift and sudden. Newspapers, news channels and conversations found one focus: Corona virus images, infections, deaths and preventive measures. With my art materials stranded at the studio I decided to try my hand at newspaper collage and reflect on the current situation. I wanted to portray hope amidst negativity coming at us. This piece talks about measures we must diligently remember to take to emerge as a healthy, wise and sensible inhabitant of this planet.
