Hate crimes towards Asian Americans have increased during the coronavirus pandemic. Personally, my family and friends have been affected by this; from being harassed online, to my mother being yelled at to “go back to China” in front of our own home. I was inspired by the #IAmNotAVirus art by Korean Swedish artist Lisa Wool-Rim Sjöblom, and illustrated this poster to express my frustration and concern for the Asian community. In this difficult time it is compassion, not hate that will find a cure.
