This piece of artwork I chose to create has three major parts to it. The first part is the nurse, because many doctors and nurses are on the front line risking their lives to help others. I drew the nurse in full protective gear which includes gloves, a mask, gown, and a hair cap because that's what nurses have to wear to protect themselves. The second part is the pose in which the nurse is standing in, it's the famous Rosie the Riveter pose. I chose this pose because it represents strength and power, which we all need in times like these. The third major part of this art is what the nurse is saying. I call them healthcare heroes because that is what they are, heroes. I changed the “we can do it” to “you can do it” to make it more personal to a nurse or doctor who looks at it and to empower them that they can do it. I also made the nurse look like a comic book character because comic books and superheroes go together.
