Honor Crip, Mad, Disabled & Neurodivergent Wisdom & Genius

Disabled people at the margins of the margins understand intimately the pain and retraumatization of prolonged isolation, looming fear of imminent death, and the precarity and frailties of human bodies. Our sick and disabled elders and youth at the margins of the margins have been resisting the violence of ableism as intertwined deeply with capitalism and white supremacy, fighting for all our survival, and building and sustaining networks of mutual aid and communities of collective care. Honor our wisdom and knowledge today - we need disabled brilliance if we hope to survive, let alone build lasting relationships of solidarity. This image shows four disabled people of color with multiple disabilities - hidden and apparent - each, all proudly showing slogans of disability justice organizing.
