For years I battled with the constant racket in my head, imagining how wonderful it would be if I could put my brain aside and enjoy a moment of mental peace. It wasn't until the world was taken by the art of a banana taped to a wall that I realised what I needed to do. This here is my coping mechanism when I feel myself coming undone, an opportunity to grasp at some peace & quiet, shared with anybody who'll listen. When you need a break, tape your brain to the wall (metaphorically, of course!) and tell yourself, 'today it isn't working quite as it's supposed to, so today, it's just a piece of art.'
