Into the New
Acrylic on Canvas Board, 9”x12” I was inspired to paint this piece by my 15-year-old son, who described the scenes he recalls from this pandemic. He remembers the trench holding the coffins of the dead because there were too many. He remembers the hospitals, the gloves, and masks. We talked about what we all need to do moving forward, and to me this represents just that: protect ourselves through a metamorphosis into the new, where we need to be creative and positive. It’s what we do as humans. We innovate, create, and things will get better.
