Isolation Daruma-san

This is an abstract depiction of a Daruma-san doll in Japanese culture, which has a rounded base and always stands up again by itself if it falls over. In this drawing, the Daruma-san is isolated in confinement to stay safe from the coronavirus. It is not an easy time, and the figure falls over a lot, but it never fails to stand up again. (Watercolor, ballpoint pen, acrylic and marker on watercolor paper. 7x6.5 cm / 2.8x2.6 in. April 22, 2020. Barcelona, Spain)
