Lightflower represents the resilience of the London youth. The respirator on the subject of the painting used for creation and artistic expression has been repurposed as a face mask, something I've seen a lot of my friends do. The rough textures in the piece symbolise the grey harsh environment that is often juxtaposed or compared to the people that grew up in urban spaces. The flowers represent hope, and the beauty that push between the concrete slabs. A little ode to where I'm from and the vitality of its culture.
