Here I am, reconnecting with material objects. I have never liked the idea that material objects hold value, as I often try to distance myself from the temporary satisfaction of relying on these items. But I have found that inanimate objects can take on whatever meaning you give them. My friend gave me this candle for my birthday, I never really thought of it as something too important or special but now that we live states away from each other whenever I light this candle I'm bringing her light near me again.
