When COVID-19 was first reported out of other parts of the world, what struck me were the ways neighbors showed solidarity with one another while in quarantine. First it was Italians singing together out their windows, then the Spanish pianist playing for his neighbors from his balcony. As it made its way here, it was Americans sitting 6ft. apart in their driveways for "self-distanced" happy hour. These small acts are what give me hope for how we'll come out this, which can only be done together.
