The WHO recommended to the population the use of protective masks as an important resource to prevent the spread of COVID-19. According to the FDA and the New York Times article, type 95 surgical masks are essential for healthcare professionals and due to their scarcity, DIY solutions have been gaining momentum worldwide. My grandmother had the gift of sewing and taught 2 of my 7 aunts, today they make homemade masks for donation, they will inspire me to make this poster that invites everyone who has sewing machines in their homes to come together to help the community in the fight against COVID-19.
