Mantra
This has been my personal mantra during isolation. I’ve been walking around the neighborhood and noticing all the cacti blooming. Their forms are so aesthetically alluring in their sculptural rigidity and steadiness. They thrive with so few resources and yet bloom more lush and fiercely than the surrounding flora that waits for rain. I have a tendency to catastrophize when I feel like I might not get what I think I need. So I’ve been borrowing wisdom from these wild beauties who lead by example that a lot can be done with a little and that there’s still every reason for this (insert latest setback) to go in my favor.
