Mind Maps​ is a series of new sculptural paintings by Madeline Walker in which playful yet architectural landscapes of thought patterns emerge through her use of pattern, repetition, and pastels. Using a range of mold-making techniques, both digital and traditional, her experimental works are commonly assembled cell by cell into conglomerates. Forms, textures, and everyday objects are re-contextualized as a form of storytelling about unseen disability. The alluring qualities of beauty and repulsion is a central theme throughout her work which spans multiple mediums and disciplines.
