For this project I wanted to capture the return to a normalcy we have not experienced in 2 years. In the past years there has been tragedy after tragedy that made living “normal life” complicated. Routines such as taking the train to work have been eliminated by the use of remote work by many employers. While previously the luxury of taking the train into the city to work had been taken for granted now it’s a big event. To capture this I took pictures of people waiting for the train as it passed. The speed of the train created a blurred effect that kept only the inside of the train in focus. I used the word monotony because it is something so simple yet so nice. The ability to rely on life not being thrown into the air and changed every six months is a luxury no one is used to anymore.
