As we learn more about COVID 19, this virus is disproportionately affecting black and brown communities. This pandemic is showing us that the old systems of healthcare, and whose life gets priority over others is not working, at least not here in the United States. Who is allowed access to a test? Medical care without going into debt? Who is allowed to have humanity? The flowers are a personal touch to me, because as a child my grandmother taught me that plants are healing and resilient. In this harsh world it is brave to keep our softness.
