Not Alone
This piece invokes a sense of collective love for those dealing with unfortunate circumstances and/or feelings of uncertainty, overwhelming sadness, and anxiety. It’s about “feeling” the love of someone who can’t be there with you. This disembodiment of love, in times when the physical touch and presence of others are unavailable, prompts viewers who are dealing with anxiety and depression to reach out and ask for help. In the absence of physical touch, which releases oxytocin that can help fight depression, the strong hold of the hands represents trust, affection, and love. They also allude to maternal nurturing to remind us that taking care of our mental health is key!
