Now but not Forever

The object that undeniably defines our time is masks. I did a series of painted masks on friends and family members thinking of the mask, instead of covering one’s face or emotions, would actually reflect the wearer’s true self. This one I did on my eight year old daughter of a grid pattern dissolving into a bird in an Escher-like surprise, is my favorite.
