Only Self Care if it’s Instagrammable
In a society where nothing /really/ happens unless there’s perfectly photographed evidence on Instagram, it’s easy to feel like we're not “performing” self care well enough. When we compare our routines with celebrities and "influencers," we're comparing ourselves to a false, curated, edited, unattainable standard - it can feel like no matter what we do, we're behind. But self care is enough when it makes us feel good, period, and it doesn’t have to be something that’s displayed for everyone else to judge. So go ahead, eat that third cookie in bed - no one’s watching.
