In response to the COVID-19 crisis, I designed the piece Our house is on fire, a symbol that points to deforestation on the planet as the origin of this crisis; Due to deforestation, animals, as well as viruses and bacteria, have been forced to abandon their natural environments where it makes sense for them to exist, to instead inhabit environments where they do not belong like the human body. This is how the COVID-19 has mutated, and how this humanitarian crisis has been gestated. Therefore, if we really want to avoid reaching a point of no return, it is urgent that we demand policies that are respectful of the environment and the climate.
