Painting All My Fingernails Red
During the coronavirus quarantine, there was time for seemingly any activity you could think of doing at home. When I'm working, I always struggle to find time and energy to paint my nails. Sometimes I just have to do it late at night so I can feel more polished for a work event. It blew my mind that if I had wanted to, I could have painted my nails every day of the lockdown. I didn't remember any other time in my adult life when I had felt so available to decorate myself. I wanted to document the absurdity but also greatness of this feeling in a drawing using real nail polish. (Nail polish, pencil and marker on watercolor paper. 6.5x7 cm / 2.6x2.8 in. April 4, 2020.
