I think today, I finally felt the full weight of the hundreds of thousands lost globally during this pandemic. It happened after seeing a photo taken by @sarahmlee47 of a young couple embracing (one of them an NHS frontline consultant). My heart is so incredibly heavy and I can't stop crying. This all is so dark and it's so hard to be optimistic. I know I'm not alone in feeling this and I wish I could hug you. I wish I could tell you that everything is going to be alright. But all I can do today is ask you to persevere. To do what you can for yourself and your loved ones today. This piece is dedicated to the simple act of love that we show each other on a daily basis. The hug that we share with those we love. One day, we'll all see each other again. We'll get through this.
