POKED is India's first needlework movement that channelises the slow and reflective nature of the craft to call out the stress imposed by peer pressure and the constant lessons on "achieving more" on the Urban Indian Youth today. Identifying this form of stress as a major cause of rising suicide cases by WHO, the movement directly aims at calling out mindless headlong pursuits as a result of stereotypes and cut throat competition imposed by the Indian society on young students.
