Prepare Your Warriors (Design Fights Covid)
Medical Care workers are the only people equipped with the knowledge to fight Covid19. They suffer not only because of the virus but because of us. The people who these frontline workers so selflessly fight for, hurt them, infect them, Violate lockdown parameters and jeopardise all their efforts. These essential workers have been attacked and stone pelted numerous times by mobs when they have risked heir lives to go to localities and test the people there. Bani Thani an iconic Indian Art figure is seen putting down her lotus and getting prepped to provide medical care to covid patients. The three pair of hands helping her, are a symbolic representation of how we can assist our “warriors” (medical care workers) in this battle. The first set of hands symbolises how we should follow the necessary guidelines set out by the government regarding lockdown and social distancing. The second symbolises what we could do to help our essential workers and medical staff financially by donating so that they can purchase protective gear. And the third symbolises the moral support we provide our front line workers and medical staff. The minutes of clapping and candle lighting are not empty gestures but the whole nation nation coming together and recognising the efforts and sacrifices being made.
