One of the groups of workers that confront the high-risk area of getting a chance to be infected is long-term care workers. These people are working in nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, group homes, and convalescent hospitals. And they can't follow the social distancing protocol at all, but stay side-by-side closely with the elders, the disabled patients, etc. They are now at the epicenter of the pandemic. In city after city, the disease has ravaged these facilities, producing over 50% of deaths from Covid-19 and establishing a grim pipeline to already-overwhelmed hospitals. As I am an artist. I want to be part of this in showing solidarity with the courageous residents of long-term care facilities and the heroic workers at their bedside. We must show them they are not invisible.
