I'm an art professor at Bakersfield College Inmate Scholars Program. I currently teach 5 classes in two prisons and 4 yards. Inmate Scholars Program serves 9 prisons in Kern and Tulare County. I have taught at 7 prisons in Central CA, and the Summer it will be 9. Many of my students are aging, disabled and vulnerable. There is almost no way to social distance in prison. I'm concerned for the inmates, officers, nurses and staff. I created this in Procreate and used a technique that many of my incarcerated students use which is hatching, crosshatching and stippling.
