Many are facing increased feelings of disconnection and isolation during this pandemic. My hope is that this photograph serves as a palpable reminder for the reason why we now must self-isolate. In distancing ourselves from those who are currently the most vulnerable members of our community, we are expressing our utmost love, care and concern for their health and well-being. This photograph is of my father, one of the many people relying on others to responsibly self-isolate during this global health crisis. We expressed our love previously through closeness--now we do so through isolation.
