I’ve found that while I have “reconnected” physically after social isolation, I have not returned in spirit. The person I was before remains locked behind a wall just clear enough to see the mountains that lay ahead. I wonder: Is a mountainous life even worth the energy it will take to escape my prison. I’m stuck with no energy to move.
