Reconnecting with Boma
I took this photograph when my 98 year old great-grandmother and I could finally be together again post-Covid’s peak. My intention was to capture the small, intimate, beautiful details of her hands to represent the small, intimate, beautiful moments we’re able to share with each other again. They also represent the meticulously detailed stories she tells me, specifically about rebuilding her world after the Holocaust. Her hands house her stories, strength, and so much wisdom.
