The pandemic meant I was isolated with only my immediate family. It was very lonely, and I really missed my friends. Once vaccinated, I was excited to be invited to an amusement park to hang out with friends. But after so long in isolation, being around people was both exhilarating and unnerving. I thought this roller coaster was the perfect metaphor for how I felt as I reconnected with crowds.
