Reconnecting with: Family The photograph depicts sisters that I traveled with in Japan. The picture features them wearing traditional Japanese kimonos and walking hand in hand. Family is an extremely important virtue in Japanese and most other Asian cultures. My time in quarantine allowed my family and I to bond closer relationships, as our other commitments such as friends and work seemed so impermanent. Throughout a season of unexpected turns, I often find myself turning onto the rock that is my family.
