This portrait explores my process of reconnecting with my family history as a third-generation Korean-American through my interpretation of my maternal grandmother, who immigrated in 1964. This image is meant to delve into the blend of cultures that define my family's story of immigration, as well as to examine how Korean values and social hierarchies translate and adapt to American culture.
