Reconnecting with my Family

Being a teenager during the pandemic made for some very tense relationships within my life. Holed up in my room and doing anything I could to forget why I hadn’t left my bed for a few days put a serious barrier between myself and my family. This photo portrays my immediate family with an obvious identifier missing; none of their faces are visible. Quarantine made it feel as if the people I were physically closest to were also the ones I would rather not see. However, they are also in motion and angling their bodies towards the camera. Coming out of the pandemic, I have been more open to spending time with my family and reconnecting with them through fun activities and shared interests. Our relationship is healing and I am growing to want to see them more than anyone.
