Reconnecting with nature is important for everyone. Being Mexican American means appreciating everything that I have because others before me didn’t have the same opportunities. When I go to the beach, I am always reminded by my mother to take in the views of Santa Monica and appreciate the places she used to clean at. She will always remind me to work hard so future generations do not have the same life as she did.
