I guess it’s like sliding your feet in freezing cold water. It hurts but you can't seem to pull yourself out. It becomes a challenge - how long can I put up with the pain? The minutes flow by and soon the pain tastes sweet, the ego swells and your body rises, you forget that its pain and fear the absence of the cold. You can’t remember what it was like to be warm.
