Reconnecting with What Connects Us
During the pandemic, teens from all over felt isolated and alone. We found solace in our phones, the tiny LED devices we held constantly and so tightly you'd think it provided oxygen. As restrictions loosened and we came back to reality, we realized how dependent we became on these devices. They scrambled our heads, destroyed years of learned social skills, and did the opposite of what they were meant to do. They disconnected us from each other more than they connected us. It's time to reconnect with the real world. It's time to disconnect from our phones.
